 FAQS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
In each of the following FAQs, you will find commonly asked questions and answers on a particular area of Australian Migration System as mentioned below :
1. FAQ - GSM -Offshore. This FAQ contains information on Australian General Skilled Migration for offshore applicants. You should go through this before looking at other FAQs. You should first go through each question and answer in this FAQ and find out how they apply to you. Use a paper and pencil to make notes. Calculate your points and note down what requirements you have already fulfilled and what you need to do further to become eleigible, if you are not eligible now.
2. FAQ - PASA Engineers. Engineers from overseas have to follow a certain procedure for their Pre-application Skills Assessment (PASA). Overseas engineers thinking of migrating to Australia will find some relevant information here. But before going through this FAQ you should look at the FAQ - GSM -Offshore and understand the Australian General Skilled Migration System.
3. FAQ - PASA Accountants. Accountants from overseas have to first have university qualifications comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree in which they must have covered the equivalent of at least nine of the 12 core units specified by the accounting assessing bodies.
4. FAQ - Sponsoring Relatives. If you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident and want to sponsor a relative living overseas, then you should go through this after you have first looked at the FAQ - GSM -Offshore.
5. FAQ - State Sponsorship. If you do not score the points required for a Skilled Independent (permanent) visa, and you do not have a relative in Australia,you, may check the demand lists of differenet states and territories ( State Demand List of Occupations for State Sponsored (permanent) visa and Regional Sponsored (provisional) visa to find out if your nominated occupation is in any of these lists. If so,you may apply for state sponsorship and if you get a state sponsorsip then you may apply for a state/territory sponsored GSM visa.
